What Bonbon is
Bonbon is a video app for children aged roughly two to nine, set up and controlled by a parent. Every video is checked before it can appear in the app, so a child browsing on their own meets a calm, age-appropriate catalog instead of an endless feed optimised to keep them scrolling.
Parents get a section behind Face ID or a PIN: watch history, the ability to block any video or channel, a daily screen-time limit the app enforces on its own, and a weekly report of what was actually watched. The interface and the videos are available in more than 20 languages, which matters for bilingual families — in our own market a child may speak Kazakh at home, Russian at school, and want English cartoons.
Why we made it
The app began as a parent's problem rather than a business plan. Mainstream video apps are built to maximise time spent, and the results are familiar to anyone who has handed over a phone: autoplay into strange territory, algorithmic recommendation loops, and content produced for engagement rather than for children.
Bonbon inverts that. The catalog is curated rather than infinite, there is no engagement-maximising recommendation loop, and we do not build advertising profiles of children. The point is a child who watches something good and then stops, and a parent who does not need to supervise every minute.
The company
Bonbon is built and operated by KOFE — ETO ZHIZN, TOO (ТОО «Кофе — это жизнь», known in English as Coffee is life LLP), registered in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This website, bonbonapp.app, is owned and operated by the same company. We are a team of two, led by Uan Sholanbayev, Founder and CEO. The company is self-funded and independent. The app is live on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and on Android it is available on Google Play and in GetApps, Xiaomi's app store; the Samsung Galaxy Store is coming soon.

How we handle data
We collect the minimum needed to run the app, we sell no ad space, and we never profile a child for advertising. Playback runs inside an embedded YouTube player governed by Google's terms, which our Privacy Policy describes in full, along with how to delete an account and its data.
